Condition Types Reference

Every rule type in Conditional Rules — Widget Rules, Hide Location Rules, Location Note Rules, and Location Allocation Rules — draws its condition Type dropdown from the same shared list, grouped into these categories:

Product Rules​

  • Product — a specific product
  • Category — a product category
  • Collection — a collection
  • Product Tag — a product tag
  • Product Metafield — a product metafield value
  • Inventory — inventory level at the current location
  • Other Location Inventory — inventory level at a different location
  • Inventory Policy — the product's inventory policy (e.g. continue/deny selling when out of stock)

Customer Rules​

  • Customer Tag
  • Customer Type — Logged in Customers / B2B Customers
  • Customer Currency
  • Customer Country
  • Customer State — validated against ISO 3166-2 subdivisions
  • Customer Zip/Postal Code
  • Customer Metafield
  • Customer Distance — distance from the customer to a location
  • Customer — a specific customer
  • Customer No. of Orders
  • Customer Company — for B2B

  • Location Metafield

Regional Rules​

  • Language — 35 supported languages
  • Market — a Shopify Market

Time and Date Rules​

  • Date
  • Day — day of week
  • Time — time of day

Segment Rules​

  • Segment — a Shopify customer segment

Cart Rules​

  • Cart Email
  • Cart Phone
  • Cart Amount
  • Product Quantity

Operators​

Available operators depend on the type chosen, and include: equals (=), not equals (≠), contains, not contains, within, outside, and a default includes for multi-select values (e.g. Includes/Excludes on Product or Collection).
