Collection Filtering
Go to Multi-Location Stock Info → Collections & Metafields, and turn on Filter collections by selected store (Plus-plan gated). Once enabled, collection results update automatically when a shopper changes their selected store — no page reloads or manual filtering required.
Setup checklist
This feature depends on a few other pieces being configured, tracked by an on-page checklist:
- Location Picker configured — the header location selector is set up (see Header Block Setup).
- Metafield Sync active — Sync inventory to metafields is turned on.
- Collection Filter active — this toggle is on.
- Location picker theme extension installed — the theme app extension is added via the theme editor.
Each item shows Complete/Incomplete status with a Configure/Review/Turn on/Open theme editor action, so you can jump directly to whatever's missing.
Preselect a location from a link
Independent of the toggle above, you can send customers straight to a filtered view by appending a location ID to any storefront URL:
https://{your-store}/collections/all?multiloca_location=<location_id>
Find a location's ID in Shopify Admin → Settings → Locations (open the location and check the URL). This is useful for location-specific ads, QR codes, or email campaigns that should land shoppers on a pre-filtered collection.
